What to put in the bowl

Hand out wrapped pieces only. Twist wrapped gum and the Halloween mix are sealed one by one. Loose gumballs are not.

Count the doorbell, not the bag. A street with 100 trick-or-treaters at 2 pieces each needs 200 pieces: one big tub, or two smaller packs.

Gum is not a treat for toddlers. The CDC lists chewing gum among the choking hazards for young children, so keep a second bowl for the smallest visitors.
