Dubble Bubble is one of the few candy names with its age on file. The registration on file states first use in commerce on December 31, 1928.

The first registration came in 1952, to Frank H. Fleer Corporation of Philadelphia. The registration in force today dates from 1991 and has been renewed three times.

The mark now belongs to Tootsie Roll of Canada ULC. Tootsie Roll Industries lists Dubble Bubble among its brands, and its history page puts the purchase of Concord Confections, which made the gum, in 2004.
